12 Valuable Additions To Any Article Marketing Submissions
There are many ways to produce a high quality promotional article, some a lot more effective than others. Here are 12 tips that will help you get the most out of your article marketing strategy.
1.Create an organized list or template of everything you need to include in the article. This will be your master template, no matter what the niche of your article you can use this same well thought out template. Organization is the key for saving time and being more efficient with your projects.
2.Break up you articles so they are more visually appealing to the reader. A big blob of words doesn’t entice anyone to read your information. This means use proper grammar, paragraphs, maybe bullet points, also utilize the bold, italic, and underline features.
3.Add an image to your article. This image can be your own article related image, or what I like to do is create a Google adsense ad and embed the code at the top of the article so I get a rotating, somewhat related based on keywords, picture! I would stick to less than 2-3 Adsense ads per article. Preferred size I use at the top of my articles is 468X60, but you can use anything that works for you.
4.Anchor text links are simple, yet effective. Simply highlight relative keywords to your link you plan to point to, click the hyperlink icon, (looks like a chain link), and add you url you want to point those words to. Like I did to ‘words’ in the previous sentence. I would add at least 1 per 100 words in your article. Hyper link appropriate keywords that match the liink they are pointing to for highest quality.
5.Have a well thought out keyword strategy. Use a good keyword tool available on the web, I like to use Google’s keyword tool they offer a fairly easy way to get a nice set of pertinent keywords to target. Grab 20-30 keywords, and them to your article template from tip#1, and promote your articles using those keywords. Recommended to have 2-3 different sets of keywords to target, some will do better than others.
6.Use creativity with your titles, don’t make them too long or the search engines cut them off. Try and stay under 11 words, and 60 characters.
7.Meta descriptions – These are the descriptions the search engines show as a summary of your website. Stay under 70 words and 350 characters. I usually cut and paste a good segment of my article and add it here. TIP: Grab a segment with some recognizable keywords in it.
8.Try and keep your articles between 300-500 words. More than 500 is Ok as long as its not a rambling, off point article. Stay focused in the article on what your goals are.
9.Have a goal! What is the purpose! Ask yourself that question, and write you article around those answers.
10.Take the time to create a resource box to put at the end of every one of your articles. Research different ways you can create a resource box, find the styles that fit you or your website.
